Group Training Class Definitions

If you require additional information after reading the following definitions, please contact the trainer teaching the class.

Ab Solution (CAC-205/EG)... Ah...the perfect solution to your abdominal woes!  The new year demands a new way to train those tired abs.  Each week we’ll meet for two AB-solutely fast and fun 30-minute sessions.  Join us as we learn new ways to firm & flatten your entire abdominal wall, your obliques and lower back.  Let’s strengthen our abs together!

Bridal Boot Camp (aka: Bikini Boot Camp) (CAC-G)... Tighten and tone your assets in this circuit style sweat session! You’ll flatten your tummy, tone your upper body, and define your legs just in time for the big day or for your swimwear debut. You’ll use your body weight, free weights and each other to blast fat and tone up.

Cycle Efficiency (CAC-G)… (Session II & III only) Do you cycle outside or indoors?  On a real bike or a stationary bike?  Your hips are in a flexed position most of the day with sitting at a desk, and sitting in the car.  That is the same position you are sitting in on a bike.  This can cause tight hip muscles, which in turn will create weak hip muscles.  We will use the ADAPT Training systems to re-educate the muscles and increase range of motion and strength in the hips.  This will improve cycling efficiency whether it for racing or simply exercising.

Camp F.I.T. (Focused Interval Training) (CAC-205)... Welcome in a new decade with the best you ever!  We are bringing you a new approach to your fitness in 2010!  This program is for any skill level, beginner to advanced! With Camp FIT, you will see results and keep improving all year because each session is a different fitness focus to keep your workouts fresh and effective.  In this progressive style of training, we are giving you a game plan for success.

Camp FIT SI: Fat Loss-We are ramping up the fat burning cardio for maximum calorie expenditure! Training with heart rate and ability in mind, plus a variety of strength and range of motion exercises to boost fat loss!

Camp FIT SII: Sculpt and Tone-The focus is shaping and sculpting your new leaner body! Free-weights, and functional exercises to get you results!

Camp FIT SIII: Strength-Adding more strength is the goal! Get that tones lean body stronger and have more power for anything you want to do!

Camp FIT SIV: Performance-Time for Performance training! Summer is right around the corner, Look and feel great just in time for outdoor sports or the beach! The foundation has been laid for optimal fitness, now its time to build the structure of who you always wanted to be!

Free-Weight Physique (CAC-205)… Ladies, get a toned and strong functional body! With only one hour a week of high intensity, fat burning, muscle building training with Trainer Tommy Kent, you won’t need a man to open the pickle jar anymore.  Broaden the scope of your workout!  Get into free-weights, learn proper technique and have your workout structured for optimal results. 
The truth is, the more you limit the type of exercises you do and the equipment you use, the more you limit your own progression.  Don’t waste another workout. Let Tommy show you his expertise on weight lifting and how to achieve a defined beautiful physique.

Health and Fitness 101 (CAC-G)... (Session I & II) This program is about accountability, group support, and goal-setting. The class goals are to establish a challenging, fun workout routine, and learn better eating habits.
We will meet once per week for a workout, discussion, and to establish a weekly schedule for in-between classes. Have fun, get strong, eat good food!

Interval Triathlon (CAC-EG)... Row, Run and Ride your way to better health!  This 55 minute class will challenge you to push past your fitness barriers.  Interval training will improve your cardiovascular conditioning by increasing your level of intensity in small, frequent bursts.  Will you answer the challenge?

Intro to Mixed Martial Arts (CAC-G)... This class is a beginner level MMA class introducing the many rules and techniques involved with the sport such as striking, submissions/chokes, take downs, clinching, and body control. numerous styles of fighting are covered including Muay Thai Kickboxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, Krav Maga, Judo, and Tae Kwon Do.

Kids Camp (CAC-205)... Lets get kids moving! This will be a fun group environment to get kids active and loving exercise. We will be doing obstacle courses, and floor work, cardio and fun sports skills drills. Let’s get our kids off the couch!  This class is also perfect for home schooled kids!

Muscular Range of Motion (CAC-EG)... Change the tone of your muscles, posture, and rejuvenate your energy by moving your body in ways that you don’t throughout the day. Whether you work in an office or are busy taking care of children, etc this class will change the way your body feels.

Mush to Muscle: Toning and Definition Class (CAC-EG)... Join Jack once a week for an hour in this class that emphasizes non-stop dynamic exercises in a circuit format. Teaming up with a partner to share the fun, the class will utilize a variety of free weight and body weight exercises to maximize toning and definition, muscular endurance, and of course burning tons of calories. Make no mistake, this class will make you sweat and pant, but the flexibility and progression of exercises allow for people of all levels to join in on the excitement.

Ready to Run (CAC-G/EG)... This is great class focusing on the efficiency of joints and muscles to help you run - this class is for anyone.  Running is a great way to keep the pounds off or take the pounds off.  Join us each week to get things moving in the correct direction to make a difference in your running ability!

Running Efficiency... Get the Body Ready to Run! (CAC-G)… (Session I only) Give the body the range of motion and endurance it needs to run…BEFORE you put on those running shoes.  Running is a fun way to get fit and lose weight, but because there is seven times your body weight into your joints with each step, it can be uncomfortable and cause injuries.  Current runners, injured runners, and wannabe’s, we will improve range of motion, muscular strength and joint integrity, using the ADAPT Training systems. 

Self Defense (CAC-G)… This class is designed to teach basic skills for defending and protecting yourself in emergency situations and instilling natural defensive instincts.  Multiple techniques are used from various martial arts including Krav Maga, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Strong Arm Sunday (CAC-EG)... Whether you love or hate lifting weights on your own, this class will kick you up a notch.  Kitty will combine a wide variety of training methods to rock those arms.  Studies show that even a once a week strength training regime will produce great results.  Come before RIDE and get STRONG!

Weekend Warriors Workout! (CAC-205)... This class is for people that can’t make it to the week-day workouts/classes and want more out of their workouts. Come join us in a fun circuit and cardio-based workout see some weight loss, strength building and flexibility and all around just feel better.
